Providing quality mental health care in Northwest Arkansas
Providing quality mental health care in Northwest Arkansas
My practice
I believe that developing a therapeutic relationship based on openness, vulnerability and trust is at the core of the therapeutic process and I strive to provide a comfortable and non-judgmental space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. Beginning therapy is hard, and it takes courage. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your journey towards self-acceptance and understanding. I am often described as direct, detail-oriented and personable.
I utilize a variety of different evidence-based approaches, including but not limited to: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Person-centered, and Emotionally focused therapy (EFT). However, sessions are dynamic and tailored to individual needs.
I enjoy working with a variety of different concerns and I am currently working on a certification to better address the needs of clients with ADD/ADHD.
My experience
I have worked in the mental health field since 2016 serving individuals throughout Northwest Arkansas. I have experience working with all age groups in a variety of settings including inpatient mental health, school-based services, collegiate mental health, crisis services, and hospice. Crucial to my philosophy is an intentional focus on working with a diverse array of clients so I can better understand the needs of my community. Prior to starting my own practice, I also worked in a group practice setting for two years honing my clinical skill set.
My education
I completed my bachelor's in psychology and my master's in social work at the University of Arkansas, right here in Fayetteville. I am licensed through the state of Arkansas as an LCSW and have a variety of certifications to better serve my clients. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and I am always searching for new opportunities to grow as a therapist.
My interests
Outside of work, I love to travel, be outside and spend time with friends and family. I consider my personal relationships to be one of the most important things in life. I am also a fan of arts and crafts, video games, camping, and ice hockey.
